Shirley Grundy is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Education, Murdoch University and President of the Australian Association for Research in Education. As Joint National Coordinator of the NPDP funded project Innovative Links Between Universities and Schools for Teacher professional Development, she brings together her considerable experience as a primary school teacher and research expertise in curriculum theory and development, and policy analysis. The Innovative Links Project is an action research based professional development program designed to provide innovative professional development opportunities for teachers working within the professional community of the school, in partnership with colleagues from the university sector and in conjunction with teachers in other schools, through a network of roundtables and a national consortium.
