Jan is an Associate Professor at Murdoch University. Her research interests include gender and work, Aboriginal education, higher education policy and the relationship between education and social change. Her presentation focuses on globalisation and how Anglo-American and European universities have responded to specific globalising practices, such as quality mechanisms, managerialism, and employment flexibility.
